Majlis (Majlisu Shifau Saaqafath Al-Islami) was founded on 15th September 2002 in the serene and spiritually enriched region of Manhampara, Kasaragod, under the guidance of noble religious, political, and social leaders. What began as a humble initiative has now grown into one of Kerala’s most respected educational, spiritual, and humanitarian movements.
Majlis was established by the Honourable
Sayyid Muhammad Ashraf Assaqaf Al-Madani Thangal (M.P Adhur Thangal) — a visionary scholar of theology, an agriculturist, a social worker, and a compassionate human being. Deeply aware of the needs of the community, he founded Majlis with a powerful mission:
To uplift the poor, the neglected, and the socially backward sections of society through education, charity, and moral empowerment.
